History of Faculty of Engineering and Technology

The faculty has completed its educational activities since 2006 by accepting 50 students in Computer Sciences (Software) and Geomatics (Geodesy) courses in associate’s degree in October and 24 students in Civil Engineering (general construction works) in associate’s degree in February under the supervision of Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, in the city of Aliabad Katoul. Since the establishment of Golestan University in 2008, this university has been established as a faculty alongside two other faculties.

The expansion of this faculty coincided with the university, and with the approval of the Higher Education Extension Council, two fields of Computer Engineering Technology and Geomatics Engineering Technology were launched in 2008. In 2010, the fields of Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering were added to the existing fields, and in 2012, Electrical Engineering and in 2014, Computer Engineering have been launched.

Now (the second semester of the academic year of 2018-2019), this faculty which includes 10 faculty members gives teaching and learning services to 520 students in 5 departments in both turn 1 and turn 2 at undergraduate and postgraduate program of studies in Chemical Engineering.
