Introduction to the Department of Geography
After acquiring the required license from the Ministry of Science, the gathering of the needed technology and data for the establishment of the named department officially began in 2006, subsequently bringing in the Department of Geography at Golestan University. It is worth mentioning that the faculty members of this department are ten official PhDs. The Department of Geography is currently equipped with an advanced workshop and an official site, in which modern-world software, required for conducting researches, such as GIS, or SPSS, is available for students and professors to use at will. This department is, as of now, in hold of a scientific quarterly journal, titled “the Geographical Planning of Space.”
